West Bengal Polls 2016


West Bengal, a small state that is located in eastern side of India and it borders between the Bay of Bengal and the famous Himalayas.

Today 25th April 25, 2016, Elections for the fourth round of West Bengal’s parliament began with over 49 seats in the assembly being contested.

The voting centers were opened at 7:00am in the morning and soon after the voting began with a large number of voters recorded at different polling stations across the Howrah, Badhannagar and North 24 Paganas districts.

By around 11;00am, a total of 40% of the 1.08 registered voters had cast their votes across the 12,500 polling centers.

The hotly contested West Bengal polls 2016 has been covered widely by local Bengali News Channels.

The voting centers are expected to wrap the voting exercise and begin the vote counting thereafter.
