West Bengal, a small state that is located in eastern side of India and it borders between the Bay of Bengal and the famous Himalayas.

Today 25th April 25, 2016, Elections for the fourth round of West Bengal’s parliament began with over 49 seats in the assembly being contested.

The voting centers were opened at 7:00am in the morning and soon after the voting began with a large number of voters recorded at different polling stations across the Howrah, Badhannagar and North 24 Paganas districts.

By around 11;00am, a total of 40% of the 1.08 registered voters had cast their votes across the 12,500 polling centers.

The statue is made up on 600 kgs of raw chocolate and is said to be 6 feet tall and it took 2 weeks to complete.

Speculations About Hindi TV Actress Pratyusha Banerjee's Suicide

The sad case of the famous hind tv actress Pratyusha Banerjee's alleged suicide have given rise to a multitude of speculations about what actually happened and why. The star of "Ballika Vadhu" fame was found dead in her home in Gurgaon on the 1st of April.

It has been suggested that the suicide may have been brought on by difficulties in her relationship with her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. He has in the past few days been questioned by the police, after which he - in a dramatic turn of events - was admitted to ICU on Sunday with chest pains. The police is now intending to question their friends and acquaintances to seek to verify Rahul's story. Rahul was the one who found her in her apartment and reported the case to the police.

Boyfriend, Rahul, was apparently in financial trouble and a case had earlier in the year been registered against him for loan defaulting and assault of a loan officer. Further adding mystery to the issue is an incident where unknown men posing as police barged into the Hindi TV live actress' house molesting her and seeking to reclaim money owed by Rahul. Rahul was at the time registered and known as residing there. 

More suspicions have been cast towards Rahul. First of all, he had recently been seen slapping her hard in a nasty argument the two had had in shopping mall. Secondly, rumors have been flying about a potential reunion of Rahul with ex-girlfriend Saloni Sharma - even suggesting the two had secretly gotten engaged.

Engagement and marriage might very well be at the heart of the issue. Friends have been quoted saying that Pratyusha had been actively planning for their wedding. It has been suggested that Pratyusha's and Rahul's many tiffs might indeed be caused by the question of whether to get married or not. The actress may have taken her own life questions are being asked as to whether he in any way brought her suicide on. The fact that she did not leave any suicide note indicates that her choice to end her life may have been done rashly and in a fit of despair.

Siachen Avalanche Lone Survivor Breathes His Last

In a tragic loss to the India, one of the toughest soldier breathed his last. Lone Siachen survivor Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad recently made it to the news after he survived for a staggering six days, under 25 feet of snow. The tragedy happened on 3rd February 2016, when an avalanche hit the northern part of Siachen glacier where the Indian army operates an army base.Rescue operation started immediately from army bases in Leh and Udampur,but proved futile.The Siachen avalanche took the lives of 9 other soldiers whose mortal remains are yet to be found.

India had set up an army base in the harsh Siachen glacier to pre-empt any Pakistani and Chinese military advance. Pakistan in response maintains its own base in Siachen glacier at a lower altitude. The Indian base up at an altitude of 19600 feet is incidentally the highest and costliest army base in the world. Both sides suffered heavy casualties since 1984 when India first set up the army base.

David Coleman Headley Deposes in Mumbai Court

David Coleman Headley is an American national who was born in Pakistan and is a Lashkar operative. He testified before a special Tada court in Mumbai. His testimony was that for the first time a terrorist was deposing before an Indian court through video conferencing. In the testimony, he made some revelations which include the following.

First, is that Major Ali introduced him to Major Iqbal of Pakistan ISI. He also revealed that he conducted a recce of vital installations in Mumbai and sent videos back to LeT handler Sajid Mir who instructed him. David also said that LeT insisted on him changing his name from Dawood Gilani to David Headley. Among other revelations is that David Headley Furnished false visa details to enable him to enter India.

The Indian prosecutors wanted him to confess details about the involvement of the Pakistani army intelligence officials and Hafiz Saeed who are the alleged masterminds of the 26/11 attacks.
